Daniel Wainstein is a Founding Partner of Seneca Evercore and Seneca Capital. In 2013, together with Rodrigo Mello and Isaias Sznifer, he founded Seneca, initially in partnership with Greenhill (New York, USA) and later with Evercore (New York, USA).
Previously, he served as Head of Investment Banking for Brazil and Latin America at Goldman Sachs, where he became the first Brazilian Partner in the firm’s history, and remains the only Brazilian to have reached that position at the investment bank.
Daniel began his Wall Street career at Lehman Brothers in 1998 and joined Goldman Sachs in New York in January 2000.
In addition to his role at Seneca Evercore, Daniel holds a non-executive position as Senior Adviser to the IFC in Brazil. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, pursued a Ph.D. in Economics at Brown University, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP)
